Cove Orthopaedic Clinic is led by Dr Sean Ng, a skilled orthopaedic surgeon with over 10 years of experience managing shoulder conditions. As someone who leads an active lifestyle, he fully recognises the value of conservative treatments. However, if surgery is required, he will utilise minimally invasive techniques for reduced pain and quicker recovery. Dr Ng was formerly a Consultant at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and board member of the Medical Board of SGH. He also received further orthopaedic training in Switzerland under the MOH HMDP Award.
Dr Ng obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and subsequently his Masters of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery in Singapore as well. Not long after, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr Ng also completed further orthopaedic training under the Ministry of Health HMDP award at the largest hospital in Switzerland, the Hopitaux Universitaires de Geneve in Geneva.
Dr Ng was a Consultant at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at SGH, as well as board member of the Medical Board of SGH. Dr Ng was also actively involved in the teaching of medical students at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS) and the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School; and part of the Core Faculty in the SingHealth Orthopaedic Residency Transitional Year Programme.
Dr Ng has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and have been invited to several international medical conferences. He is also a reviewer at the Malaysian Medical Journal.
